About Our People
Shay Moller
38 yrs old, Owner, operator, trainer and vet tech of PRCS. I have been around horses since I was 5 years old. I have ridden, shown, competed and earned certifications for over 32 years. I began my career at the age of 5 in a small barn of Missouri where I rode English and did 3 day eventing. At the age of 7 we moved and I began a long and glorious relationship with my trainer Tina Shinkle at Whissendine Farms in Labadie MO. I spent many days from 330-8p out there working horses, taking a lesson, chores and more to earn my horse shows. At the age of 12 we moved south to Atlanta then Charleston, SC the following year. I continued my hunter jumper competitions up until my parents sent me away to boarding school in Montana. This is where I learned real true horsemanship and training skills at 14. I was able to work with great natural horsemen like John Lyons and Pat Parrelli and gain so much knowledge. After 4 years there I went to college in Boca Raton, FL where my roommate and I ran a barn together and taught lessons. I also did chores for 2 other barns to earn my horses board monthly. After 4 years of showing down south I moved back to Midwest where I started in Kansas City then moved back to Quincy, IL at the age of 23 and have been here ever since teaching and helping at Quest Stables for 3 years and then opening my own horse facility in 2015 out near the fairgrounds off Highway 172 while working a full-time job 7-4 and teaching in the evenings. In June 2019 I quit my full-time job at Quincy Media, Inc and opened my business full-time at my present address July 2019. It has been a rocky road getting settled but have really really enjoyed the opportunities the new location offers my students and riders. Since moving we have doubled the herd of horses to 13, brought in 2 fainting goats and 2 babies, 4 dogs, 5 cats and 13 chickens as of 2021. I love being able to share my passion and skills of horses with the surrounding area and can’t wait to see what each year brings! Working the farm life is the only life for me! Come check us out!
Laurine Vidori
I'm 22 years old and have been around horses since I was 8. I started riding back in France (where I am originally from), where I learned to ride in various English disciplines, like dressage and hunter / jumper. I became even more passionate about it when I moved to the U.S. at the age of 10, so I continued to develop my riding at different barns in Texas and Washington. At 15 years old I started cleaning stalls, feeding, and training horeses as a first job and was able to learn new horsemanship skills. Once I moved to Quincy, in 2020, I became a volunteer at QUEST stables, where I cared for the horses and helped out with some of the lessons. I met Shay in August of 2021, and I've loved being at PRCS since where I am now teaching lessons and training horses full-time. I am currently pursuing biological science major to later obtain my vet degree and bachelor's in equine studies / sciences at Montana State University. All of this is to achieve my lifelong goal of running my own equine veterinary clinic and boarding / lesson facility.
Olivia
Oliva grew up with stories of how her mother's side would ride and take care of horses. Ever since she first saw a picture of a horse she wanted everything to do with them. She loves animals dearly to where she would bring strays home or speak up if she saw something wrong with animals. At Porcher's she finally gets to work with horses and take care of other animals, she also gets to show and teach kids the love and care they need.
Marie Eversman
Employee In Training / Chore Manager for Barn Ratz - Marie is a true horse lover. She started riding when she was 6 and hasn't stopped. She loves caring for, tending to, and cleaning up after the horses as much as she likes to ride. Marie loves hanging at the stables and helping younger kids learn a love for horses too. She also loves and enjoys basketball, soccer, and hanging with her friends.
